The University Grant Commission will introduce two new degree programs for University entrants this year, UGC secretary Dr. Priyantha Premakumara said.
At the initial stage that two new degree programs named Social works and Geographic information science will be conducted by the Peradeniya University
50 undergraduates will be enrolled in each course. He said 645 more students will be enrolled for Universities for the coming academic year compared with last year. Total of 31 158 students will be admitted for the 2017 2018 academic year
