Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Education, declared that the 2024 GCE Ordinary Examinations will be held within the next year.
However, the minister stated that they plan to hold the 2024 GCE Ordinary Level Examination in the middle of May of the following year.
According to him, three months must pass between each exam in order to finish paper marking.
The Minister of Education also expressed optimism that they will be able to resume holding exams in the designated years by 2025.
