The Commissioner General of Examinations mentions that the 2024 General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination is scheduled to be held from November 25 to December 20.
Education Minister Susil Premajayantha says that it is planned to start the A-Level examination this year in November and it can be held in September by the year 2025.
The minister mentioned this while participating in a program organized by the Ministry of Education under the chairmanship of the Minister of Education for the evaluation of the students who have obtained excellent results in the GCE A/L examination.
The Minister mentioned that the Ministry of Education is taking relevant measures to prevent children from wasting their time by starting the A-level studies immediately after the GCE O/L examination and expediting university entrance.
Further commenting here, the minister said that successfully facing the challenge of starting A-level studies before the results are released, the A/L course which has been started now will be continued even after the results of the GCE O/L are released.
