Examination Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara said that the results of the General Certificate of Education examination will be released before the 30th.
The preparation of the result documents is currently in the final stage.
Three hundred and eighty seven thousand six hundred and forty eight school applicants appeared for the general level examination this year.
Sixty five thousand three hundred and thirty one private applicants for the examination appeared for the general examination.

The results of the 2023 GCE Ordinary Level Examination are scheduled to be made public this month, according to Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara.
“We are nearing the end of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination results. We are ready to announce the examination’s results later this month. As soon as I can, I plan to make the exam results public, stated Amith Jayasundara.”
Probably O/L 2023 (2024) results to be released in two weeks

Within the following two weeks, the 2023 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) exam results would be released, as revealed by Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha.
Examination Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara says that the results of the General Certificate of Education examination which started are expected to be given by September 2024.
The Commissioner General of Examinations further stated that about 35,000 examiners will be required for the answer sheet evaluation process after the completion of the general examination.
The General Certificate of Ordinary Level (G.C.E (O/L) exam started on 6th May 2024
The exam is scheduled to be held at 3,527 exam centers across the island from today to the 15th.
The examination department stated that 452,979 candidates are going to appear for this year’s examination.
It is stated that it includes 387,648 school applicants and 65,331 private applicants.
