The Sri Lanka Examinations Department has issued a special statement regarding the release of the results of the Advanced Level Examination held last year.
Accordingly, the Examinations Department states that the media reports currently being published regarding the results are incorrect.
The Department further stated that the Examinations Department has not yet issued any statement regarding the results of the examination.
Accordingly, the Examinations Department requests the public not to be misled by the false news published regarding the results of the examination through various media.

Amith Jayasundara, the Commissioner General of Examinations, declared that the GCE Advanced Level exam results should be made public by April of 2025.
At a special press conference today (Dec. 31), he provided this update.
“We have implemented a phased approach to conducting evaluation activities, ensuring that the students’ ongoing studies are not disrupted,” Jayasundara said in reference to the evaluation process.
He went on to explain the schedule, pointing out that it normally takes four months to finalize the results of Advanced Level exams. He did, however, add that there are initiatives in place to speed up the procedure.
“We are working to shorten the time needed for the evaluation, and we hope to release the results by April 2025,” he said.
